Shooting smaller cals in the wind is the only way too learn IMO. Big cals I am thinking of come into there own beyond 1200 which is cool. I just dont see the point. If you are shooting at animals that far or planning to be a merc good on ya, what ever blows your hair back.
Thread is slip sliding awaaaaaaayyyyyy.yep handheald is diffacult but workable dave, next weeknd I'm gonna get it out a bit further can't wait
I thought you were hinting that us adequate cal users couldnt shoot in wind. I struggle with it at the best of times but I reckon I learn more than using something that requires little thought or adjustment.
I only LR targets so it doesnt matter if I fuck it up.
Hell, just reading what I wrote it come out very pig headed and arrogant, sorry, I should learn to proof read my own dribble. It was not my intention at all. I meant too get the point across, that for all my training and experience I still get totally baffled by atmospherics, especially wind. I learned with calibres that imo should not be used in the scenarios we employed them, so I learned a lot.
I have nothing against big cals, really, I just knew I would get a bite:D
Yep I'm a 7mm fan owned my Rem Mag for longer than I can remember and have no reason to part with it now:)
yep three 7mil rifles in my cabnet
All you bastards been buying my 162 amax's then haha
After the 7mm saum, 7mm fatmax an 7mm screamer got let loose on tahr the last week it would save the population if they never went in. The screame was only aloud out the gun bag for 1 day lol:rolleyes:

Hey tuiman what is the speed of the screamer? vs that of the 7RUM?
and how many rounds did you fire before you rebarreled?
I have a remington 7RM action here I cant bring myself to sell because I want to screw a barrel on in one of the above calibers
Hey mate
The screamer will eat the rum speed wise it will do 3250 at a cruze with 180s an the rums I have played with won't do over 3100 for the same amount of powder
Both will give you around the 700 round barrel life mine die early due to goats. . . .
Few pros and cons tho.
Rum I find a lazy inefficient case
Have to extend mags feed from it
Cases simple to make
Screamer have to form brass
Dies cost more
Requires lapua mag face
Will feed from standard long action
Will only build on a Remington or custom action
Efficient case for speed
There are also the
7 375r
7 lrm
7 flying wingman
All will do around 3100 with 180 or 3220ish with 162 safely
