    Weapon was born

    Did it make you look

Anyway now your here, here's my new barrel, old stock and the test action. . . .

I burnt out my old 7mm screamer barrel at a young age testing loads, shooting goats lots of goats, few deer, few pigs an couple of tahr. But no that way I got to know it quite well and it went quite well apart from it carboned mid way through for its life and gave me few stray shots to what it normally was witch it took me awhile to find why. . . . .

Anyway I had a hair brain idea also awhile ago after I made a alloy action for my 20tac I thought fuck it. . . I'll make a titanium one or 2, Remington style. This one is the worst one of them, it has ptg bolt that I fluted as at the time the size is wanted for my race way reamer was only plain.

Any way rest speaks for itself . . ..
    AB Percision titanium action
    Ptg bolt fluted
    Alloy firing pin assembly
    X-treme titanium recoil lug
    Bartlein, 1.9, #3, 27" fluted barrel
Talley rings lapped an pinned to action
    Jewel trigger
McMillan hunters edge stock. . . Lightened
    AB Percision shark attack brake

Fitted with Mk4 6.5-20x50 at moment till cds arrive for the vx6.

Fires the 180gr berger hybrids at 3310fps an shoots well. . .
    And a huge 3.28kg as shown on 7lbs 4oz

Photos to follow tho all look the same

Fuck yeah! Nice work Abe, those are some awesome skills you've shown...not many people in NZ making rifles from scratch like you are.

    Keep up the good work

You do very well on keeping the weight down for big thumpers as well Abe. I will get you to build a wee rifle for my boy soon.
Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.

Cheers guys was a bit of a long term off an on project with the actions would like to do some shorts now tho to make them shine.

Its about as light as i would want to go practically but makes for a very hand rig..............even more handy with tahr ballots coming up
