    LR GONG SHOOT TAIHAPE.

On behalf of our taihape nzda I am offering a chance to those of interest and close enough to our range at Hihitahi.
The reason is to promote LR shooting and the taihape nzda as well as our other disciplines we partake of.
As when we are certified we will be one of the few to be able to offer this in the CNI legally.
I'm also a believer in supporting the nzda membership base as they are one of our main advocates as a hunting shooting community which I feel there is a certain amount of apathy as the thinking " it won't affect me" is fairly rife amongst us.
In the future we will also have electronic targets that we will be using for precision shoots.
I know there's a lot of hunters out there that reckon paper and steel are a waste of time.
Come have a go and see if your actually ethically shooting and killing your chosen prey.
I see a lot to the contrary.
Come have a go as we are a progressive and open crew that enjoy the sport.
The LR gongs are 200m to 1000m.
If you think that isn't a challenge comes how us how it is done!
The range is open after the comp finishes foreseeing if you can figure out why you missed the 750 gong like most do.
Last shoot nobody hit 890 as it's a tricky little bugger!
Here is our fees for the day, includes a Barby.
    930am kick off.
$20 for NZDA members who are not taihape

$30 for other non members. $20 for 16 year or under.
    It's a great day out!
Post on Fb if interested and more info on directions or pm me.
    Cheers Andy

    How much ammo is required?
Is there much tramping involved? ( stuffed knees)
    Summer grass
    Of stalwart warriors splendid dreams
    the aftermath.

No tramping as all from the berm.
I take my portable benchrest if ya hate lying on the ground.
    Worst case scenario 20 rounds.
If you use that many you have probably won as it's a if you miss agong twice on the way out your done.
    Quite nail biting stuff.
Got an 1135 gong for a tie.
    First one to hit wins!

It's not a simulated feild shoot where you walk between shooting positions but a test on how good you are at the finer fundamentals of LR from one position.
Sounds easy till you start looking at the wind going 3 directions!
