    Malvern Rifle Club Range Open Day November 23

    Malvern Rifle Range Open Day 10 am November 23

    Try shooting on an outdoor rifle range at 300 yards

    Bring your own centrefire rifle or use a club rifle

    Bring your firearms license if you have one.

    Your rifle must be between .223 & up to 8mm calibre & with a known zero.

    Experienced shooters will be available to guide you into the art of long range shooting.

    All shooting will be done from a prone position. See NRANZ shooting classes.

    NO DOGS ALLOWED as the range is on a working farm

    Range Briefing for all shooters 0950.
    Shooting to commence 1000

    Range closes 1245

    The afternoon will be a Malvern Club Day at 500 & 600 yards.
    Shooters are welcome to stay for the afternoons shooting.

    Cost:
    (bring cash as no eftpos available at the range)
    $10 per shooter plus the cost of ammunition (if not your own)
    Ammunition will be from $1.50 per shot for club rifles
    may be more if using a club member's rifle.

    Email: malvernrifleclub2gmail.com to book and get directions to the range (which is near Sheffield).

    How much ammo required? I've never attended a shooting event before...

    The normal course of fire is 2 sighting shots + 10 counting shots per round of shooting.
    More if you are having trouble getting onto the target (which you shouldn't be if you have a known zero).

    Figure on 2 rounds of shooting, 20 -24, more if you want to stay for the afternoon's shooting at 500 & 600 yards.
