    Confiscation money

So after getting my confiscation money there was the decision to be made of what to do with it. Plenty of advice was given by mates “buy this, buy that, buy a thermal” then I came up with my own idea. After 20 odd years of chasing meat around the hills I decided I might chase a couple of things to try to put on the wall. Not being a trophy hunter I didn’t need the biggest animal on the hill just something to be proud of. first was the chamois A great hunt in Arthur’s pass with a mate that pushed me to my limits. Next was a tahr hunt out of mt cook another hunt with mates that I will never forget. I have one more I want to plan and try to get and that’s a fallow buck, so I might be asking for advice on this in the future but as for now I’m very pleased to have picked these up.

Damn great. And happy for you that were some sort of positive outcomes from it all. Celebrating success in the face of adversity - wonderful.

    Those are some nice trophies.

Personally I'm spending mine on a semi auto, lol.

I must admit I'm envious. Those two animals were on my bucket list for years. Now I can't afford a hunt and have the time. Funny how that worked.

I really enjoyed your post and seeing the mounts.
