Any one hunt birds with a bow? Thinking pheasant and possible quail. Definitely turkey. And maybe Canada's.
Would one use broadheads or feild heads?

75/15/10 black powder matters
Flu flu and blunts,NOT field points.
Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out
Search Tim Wells. He has a few videos of shooting birds with bows. As said earlier gamebirds can only be shot with shotguns, in season in NZ. So ducks, pheasants, quail and swan are off the list.
In the USA, some of the broadheads marketed for hunting turkeys have skinny blades with a huge cutting diameter. There were also game bird heads with thin cable loops and Judo points that latch onto small game. There are plenty of gimmicks to catch the hunter's money!
A regular game broadhead will zip through a turkey with no problem so be aware of what lies beyond.
How much distance do you get on the birds.? As someone who has hunted pheasant and quail with an air rifle I've found that pheasant are either miles away or so close when stalking, that a arrow would pass clean through them without some sort of small game blunt tip and then you'd have to detune the bow to stop massive bruising . Quail are so small that an arrow would destroy a huge amount of the meat. As I've never bow hunted these two species, it's speculation on my behalf and I would be genuinely interested to hear the results.
Well I suppose that’s one way to 1/4 your quail
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.
