Hey team,
I've seen a mathews vxr 28ata compound bow for sale.
I was just wondering, if it would be a good buy or not?
It will be my first hunting bow, can anyone enlighten me on the specs etc, and or a other options for a first hunting bow.
The bow comes with, 3 pin sight, half a dozen arrows, soft bag.
He's wanting $400 plus postage

The vxr was a good bow in its day. What draw length is it set up for? What is your draw length? Some bows are easy to change draw length, some of the Mathews bows you need to buy a new mod to fit to the bow to change the draw length. Advanced archery in Auckland are the Mathews dealers so you might want to talk to them about what might be needed.
The price sounds good if the bow is fine, secondhand bows can be a bit of a lottery.
