    New To Me

Well after a few months on a cheap low poundage recurve to learn on I decided it was time to find something more suitable to actually start hunting with.
Then this was listed on trademe

It was supposedly 40lb@28 but I thought it was worth a punt, figuring it would be fun to shoot if nothing else.
It arrived at my place soon after and now that it has had time to set into a new string we checked the draw weight 46lb@27.5
I think I've ended up with a very cheap hunting bow, it looks to have been built in 1972 or 73. Nice, almost as old as me . . . .

i want to be there when you pin your first goat.
    Freezer and Tommy like this.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

We certainly got in amongst them but I reckon they must be hiding from you.

Hunting goats with a recurve is great back to basics hunting. Heart racing stuff.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing the success stories!
