Hi Team,
After some advise on transporting a bow to the South Island. It’s a 64” and I just wanted to check if you could take it on the plane as oversize luggage? Otherwise is it best to ship it and if so, who would you recommend?

It wasn't quite as long as that but I sent some fragile 1.4m stuff via Aramax inside a length of PVC downpipe. It turned out to be a good rigid form of packaging. I guessed it would need to be able to handle a bit of abuse.
Depending on the amount of curve in it unstrung a larger but slightly flattened pipe may work for you.
I was wondering that myself. I think it might be the best bet
Or a thick cardboard tube
Or starting using a take down recurve, I went to that after lugging my compound to Hawaii, easy travelling especially to nz and back to Oz.
can i ask where you managed to get a long bow?
Put a hinge in the middle?
