Thread: carbine conversion kit

can anyone tell me if the roni carbine kit is now banned or not ,seen something on the web saying they are

Theres a copy of a letter going around showing a import of that item being declined by the cops.
Is it banned ? Maybe ...Ask your AO to give you an answer

I have on Friday submitted a import permit to Police for a Fab Defense G2 Kit I will let you know what they come back with and if it's in the same vein as the aforementioned letter.

I bought one from a dealer a couple of weeks ago and by the time went to pick it up said they were now banned and gave me a refund.
This looks like game Police will continue to play banning what they feel like while whatever govt allows it to happen.

TV3 basically got carbine kits banned, put some pictures of Guncity website.....they look dangerous. Banned by making C so can't use them.
Guessing they will be catered for in 2nd tranche more specifically.

I think 2nd tranche... was that not the order in council that banned tracer ammo etc etc etc etc? Methinks they are reluctant to take another pig's ear to parliament now that the initial rush is over. Here's hoping.

2nd Tranche is still coming, and was supposed to be presented by now. Banning numerous other things 300 win mag upwards etc...(sniper rifles)
They have put on back burner as having pushback over confiscation. Labour have approached National in backroom to see if they will rubber stamp it like the last laws that went through.
Basically Police using order in council to ban anything they feel like at the moment, even arms officers don't know what's from one week to the next.

No word on the Permit have hit up the AO to see if they have heard anything.

I did get a response from my local AO who's a good sort, it's been lodged in the permit hub still pending a decision.

Permit team confirmed permit was on the way in the mail today, so now I just need to order and run the gauntlet with NZ Post.

NZ Post shouldn't be a problem: they are the main supplier of drugs in NZ!
i had a complete UZI show up at my door without a signature required but the box with the optional wood stock was held up in customs. we reached the agreement they would give me the stock if i gave them the serial number and paperwork of the UZI. lol
