Hi folks
Just had a range practice for IPSC and for the second week running I had 2 Alphas on most targets but followed each one up with a 3rd shot.
Does anyone else do this lol ?

No.Do you know how much ammunition is nowadays?!?
I thought this post was going to be a reminder on men's health, more specifically testicular cancer ……..
Double tapping by my definition is taking one sight picture and pressing the trigger twice. Do not do this. You might get away with it on close targets but its not going to work on a partial target or any moving targets or anything further than about 10 meters. Its a habit you dont want to pick up.
You are already aware that you only need 2 scoring shots on paper so my guess is youre not confident of your hits and are backing them up. Your ability to call your shots will get better the more you shoot and shooting a handgun well isnt the easiest thing to do so hang in there
I dont think this sounds like a "i forgot i only need to shoot the target twice" issue.
Are all 3 shots alphas? Or is the extra required to bring it up to 2?
Shooting major or minor?
All 3 alphas as I couldn't see the first shot or sometimes the second.
Either way I know the rules etc it's just a case of getting confidence.
I'm currently shooting a 941 Jericho 9mm but sometimes use the Club CZ Shadow SPO1. Just shooting minor whilst on probationary
Three alphas me?...nooo I never do that (not a word Ozzy)
