    Fibre optic for CZ Shadow

    HI there
    Quick question

Can you only replace the small strip of high vis Fibre Optic that has fallen out of the front sight of my CZ Shadow , and if so where do I source one or some from ....

Have a mini match this coming weekend would be great to have it sorted for that .

Measure the hole in your sight. You need the right diameter of fibre to fit the hole. Might be worth asking one of the other CZ shooters at cpc what size it is if you don't have anything to measure it with.

If ya can wait a week or 2 (away at work) I can send you a 1.5 mm one. A fellow member helped me out with one so it is only fair to pay it forward😆

Also with simple instructions on fitting so it doesn't come out easily. Even if broken in the middle.

Just curious, any idea why / how it fell out?

They are only made from thin plastic and sit on top of the slide at the muzzle.

It's very easy to knock and break them. Many competition holsters don't cover the slide, so just walking around the range can lead to banging the front sight into stuff.

Simple fix if you have the fibre and a lighter.

Curious on any specifics as I have a couple of them and it hasn't happened to me yet....

Hasn't happened to me either, but I've seen it happen a couple of times. I keep a spare length of fibre in my range bag.

I can't pinpoint when it fell out as it was there last time I shot with pistol ,took it out of its bag on Fri for good clean and thought hang on somethings missing ...I'm guessing it's been knocked against something(as suggested)as my holster doesn't cover the muzzle

You must treat your guns too nicely haha. I tend to replace mine quite regularly to keep them bright, but I've still broken one or two. Usually the melted part at one end breaks off then the slide cycling bounces it out.
