Sig Mosquito with an $80 upgrade

Spent around 80 bucks kiwi at Ali express on a rail and pistol red dot for my wee Sig.

Was going to sell it but it is too much fun and cheap to run.
My cook and kids love shooting it as well.

After zeroing I shot this quick 10 shot group at 25m off a sandbag.

Trigger is atrocious but she has not bad accuracy, for a cheap and nasty pistol.

It is surprisingly well balanced considering how it looks and easy to shoot fast as well.

I do want a wee .22 pistol , while I wouldn't think twice about dropping coin on the $500ish ones I know they're pretty poxy so I should just get a ruger. But then $900-$1000 for the ruger is close to a 2nd hand 9mm, and 22lr not that cheap compared to reloading.

Bit there is a 22/45 life on gunstuff that I want so bad

A .22/45 ruger with the heavy barrel is ridiculously accurate.
Gimp has one. If I was ever going to buy another it would be the ruger.
The sig is accurate for what it is, but the trigger is a bit rough.
Not so with the ruger. It is a far superior .22 imo

Considering a 22. The club has a heap of rugers and I should take one for a spin to see how they are.

If you can find a S&W model 41 you'd be onto a winner

    Cheers

I love my one, so fun to shoot. Everyone has the rugers and they're expensive. Paid less than $600 for my Sig.

I improved the trigger on my mosquito by taking it apart and disabling the mag safety. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, but this 'hack' definitely removed a few pounds of effort from the trigger pull.
Also cleaned all moving parts and frog lubed, got rid of most of the gritty feel as well.
Unreliable piece of zinc tinpot, but very accurate and everyone enjoys shooting it. Suppressor is about as much use as a chocolate teapot, but makes it a little safer when kids are shooting it.
My daughter loves it, and has informed me that I am required to purchase one of the pink ones for her.
