    Speed Steel Challenge

Anyone shoot this? Our club (Hamilton) has just starting to get it up and running - plates have arrived.

I have got a little 22/45 lite with a burris fastfire (so .22 Open Div) to use as a cheap alternative to shooting 9mm.

    Show us your speed guns?!
Being over gunned is under rated.

I shoot it a little, picked up a few medals. Would shoot it more if I could.

Custom 9mm minor built on a Bul frame.

Hoping to pick up a 22/45 next year and shoot two divisions.

Pistol is lots of fun and there are plenty of people shooting IPSC and a few more getting into steel.

I saw the plates down at the club on Sunday. I didn't realise that they had even been ordered.
Itching to give the plates a try as well.
First up will likely be my 9mm AR15.

I too have a 22/45 which is great for practice. I did have a Fast Fire 3 on it as well but the on /off switch was not working properly. The Spark 2 works ok.Name: IMG_5790.JPG

Those look like what I want to pick up. Probably with a vortex dot on top as well.

I know some of the guys in the states are running comps on the front but I'm not sure if it makes that much of a difference.

A comp for my 22/45 is on my too do list. I have spent a shit load on shooting this year so it will need to wait till the new year.
There are a number of good comps around. All would need to be imported which is a pain.
I want so put another fastfire or small vortex on it as well. The spark 2 is a good sight but just a bit big and heavy.

This is one of the few guns that I often shoot 500+ rounds each time a shoot it. Heaps of fun.

I have yarned about it with blokes from our club but no one has done it. We don't have the plates required but I am sure if we went to the effort to set one up it would hook a few people.

A 22 rimfire wont produce enough gas to work a comp even slightly. The biggest benefit would be the weight of it hanging off the end. Save your money or dont save your money and look cool.

I think I've just found my Xmas present to myself.

With the steel, how about a group buy for the bis plates. Ie someone sort the drawings, sort a place to cut them and we do a multi buy deal?
Please excuse spelling, as finger speed is sometimes behind brain spped........ Or maybe the other wayy.....
