    Tanfoglio/CZ Optics Slide Conversion

Anyone tried this? Slide cut + universal mounting plate + a plate for iron sight

Thinking to put a red dot on my SP01, considered the dove tail mount on deltamike but they have 2 plates for 2 different mounts. Other slide cut options have specific mounting options too.

I did the 2nd option and just bought two dovetail mounts to suit the different red dot footprints in case I changed sights in the future. The only benefit I see from this is if you don’t currently have adjustable rear sight you get the whole lot for not much more than an adjustable sight costs for the factory dovetail. Having said that the aftermarket adjustable sight will never go back on mine, if the dot shits itself it will get replaced. If you know what red dot you are going to use, just get the factory dovetail fitting plate to suit at around $100 would be my advice. Unless you plan on frequently swapping between dots and opens and enjoy zeroing. Red dots, making older blind men shoot awesome forever :-)

I don't think the adjustable rear sight is included - just the (sight) plate. I don't think my eyes would go back to iron sight but if I did, I might need to fork out for a new rear (adjustable) sight if the stock one ends up different height on the new plate.

The benefit of a cut vs dovetail mount to me, is with slide cut the red dot sits lower, ie closer to bore line, but I might just be nick picking there.
