I don't think the adjustable rear sight is included - just the (sight) plate. I don't think my eyes would go back to iron sight but if I did, I might need to fork out for a new rear (adjustable) sight if the stock one ends up different height on the new plate.I did the 2nd option and just bought two dovetail mounts to suit the different red dot footprints in case I changed sights in the future. The only benefit I see from this is if you don’t currently have adjustable rear sight you get the whole lot for not much more than an adjustable sight costs for the factory dovetail.
The benefit of a cut vs dovetail mount to me, is with slide cut the red dot sits lower, ie closer to bore line, but I might just be nick picking there.
