    WTB Trainer Pistol

    Hey guys

Getting into Pistol shooting and looking for a trainer gun, Want something realistic ish as i can get, Training has been with a glock 17 but not essential

Looked at the blank firing guns and they tick the box but expensive, Most airsoft are now club permit only and don't want the hassle of having it hard to sell on later if i can avoid it.

    Cheers

The secret to pistol shooting is to watch the sights and squeeze the trigger. The best training gun is a good quality air pistol that you can use at home on a 10 metre range (some phone books in a cardboard box makes a good target backstop). Get some training from your club training officer, buy some match pellets (not cheap air gun pellets) and practice at home until you can comfortably keep all your shots inside the 8 ring of a regulation air pistol target. Then, and only then, start getting involved in whatever disciplines interest you. It doesn't matter what the discipline is (ISSF, Action, IPSC, Cowboy Action, etc.), the matches are always won by the best shots. How cleverly you handle the gun doesn't matter a damn if you can't shoot!
