    Saiga rifles

Here's a bit about Saiga rifles.

Saiga rifles are chambered for 7.62x39, 5.45x39 or .223Rem cartridges and intended for hunting, competition/entertainment shooting and self-defense.

Saiga series is based on the legendary Kalashnikov AK assault rifle. This design utilizes a proven gas piston system and two-lug rotary bolt, similar to Kalashnikov AK. Saiga rifles have the same ultimate reliability, simplicity of design and operation, which made the AK-series the most known firearm in history.
The barrel, chamber and gas piston are chrome-lined to resist corrosion and extend the life of the rifle. It also makes cleaning easier.
Receivers are made of stamped steel, furniture is made of heat and shock resistant polymer. Manual safety is identical to Kalashnikov AK, but it has only two positions - safe and semi-auto fire.
Optical and red-dot sights can be installed using special side mounts or Picatinny adapters, which can be attached to the side rail on the left side of the receiver.

Additional info, pictures and price can be found at Republic Arms Ltd official website.

These have only been offered on the market since late November and we really missed the retail sales for Christmas. So, unfortunately, only a couple of shops took stock of these for Christmas. We are selling to retail and expect shops to stock the product, but if shops do not have the firearm in stock [in your area], you can still come to the web site for a very good deal.

Kalashnikov Concern has tried to be responsible and understanding of the NZ market and are offering firearms at reasonable prices so that the NZ public can enjoy the products without having to spend their life's savings.

Cheers mate, not quite, we paid for it. But we hope to have more arriving for you later, hopefully the 9mm SAIGA, the new "International 12ga" trigger forward kits, and other goodies. We'll list them when they arrive.

Do you have spare mags for the 7.62x39 and feed ram conversions so you can use AK mags?

Sorry, not as yet - but watch out for them in the future. We had to get the first shipment into the market and there really was too many variations that we could manage to start off. We plan on another shipment mid year - unlawful US sanctions have posed a problem with shipping. The biggest request we have is for spare magazines - so we hear that and will do our best to fulfil this demand. Other "pimping" kit has been requested - we are trying to accommodate as many requests as we can. We also will carry replacement/repair parts - but hey, Kalashnikov's just don't break!

9mm SAIGA's will be E Cat [pistol grip]. Direct competition to the HK MP5, but at much less dollars.

Have a look at this; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4eBiwJ5fXQ

Next delivery is expected in about 6 months.
