    SelectaDNA now offered by Knives4Africa

    I am sure a lot of you know SelectaDNA but for those that don't, it is an ink with a chemical DNA added along with UV tracers and micro dots. All NZ Police officers carry UV torches as standard issue and they scan recovered property for UV markers.

    If you want to protect your firearms, knives, hunting and camping gear as well as other home property from theft then this is about as good as it gets without a static guard outside your house.

    There are 4 kits available;
    Home (50 items)
    School (100 items)
    Medium Commercial (500 items)
    Large Commercial (1000 items)

    A lot of small businesses could actually get away with either the school kit or the even the home kit.
    You can register and de-register from the asset list as you please so selling your firearm or other property/assets is no problem.

    SelectaDNA DIY kits are now offered via the knives4africa website

    Feel free to pop me a PM if you have any questions about the product.

    These aren't a silly idea. How hard wearing is it and where would you put it in a firearm so it doesn't get rubbed/cleaned or otherwise removed?

    It has a BSI PAS 820:2012 5 year Grade A external accreditation so its hard wearing and then some.

    As far as application goes, you can place it on two or three points - I would do the rear sight, behind the trigger, on the stock and probably between barrels or front sight. (and scope if there is one fitted)
    Its only visible under UV light so you wouldn't even know the weapon was marked unless you shine UV light on it.
