RIP mate, and may the stags be closer and the hills flatter where you are now
Yes, farewell Matt and thanks. His legacy for me was he sold me his press back in June.
We had a few long natters on the phone the last being the day after the election. We had similar strong views on the govt of the day.
I was due to ring him a couple of weeks later but I left it too late.
I am very saddened to learn of this. I went through high school in the same class with Matt. May you rest in peace old friend.
another Tokoroa fella off to the big pine plantation in the sky..rest easy,no more pain no more worries.
was always a nice polite fella to converse with.
Gutting news. RIP Matt, will miss your honest straight up contributions to this forum.

Jeez.
That’s a kick in the guts. This fella really helped me with lots of advice about prepping rifles for paint (Duracote) and sold me some quality gear at very reasonable prices. Proper gentleman.
So sorry to hear this news.
RIP mate.
R.I.P Matt hope the ones you left behind can find some closure and celebrate your life as well as mourn your loss.

Bloody hell. Bought bit of gear off him. Would drop it off to my son in Tok saying " he'll fix me up ". Would chat to my son about hunting and where he had been. Very sad.
Rip. Sorry to hear it. Always popped up with some advice born from experience.
Condolences to the family
Was this expected?
Another one with a sound knowledge base gone.
Offered to show me the reloading ropes when i started but we never could make it happen. RIP
Bugger , another of lifes Gentlemen gone.
Condolences to the family.
The nicest of men.
A font of knowledge, with a genuine love of the outdoors.
We reconnected when he answered my call at the other pub for someone to hunt with on a CNI block I had a booking for.
He rang me some time ago with his news and prognosis. Not bitter, but not helped at all by the sorry state of our health system.
RIP Matt.
RIP , didnt know him personally but he always had good contributions on here and obviously a wealth of knowledge .
Very sad news RIP
