Presume it's the John Williams that spent a lot of time in the Kawekas.
John wrote some cracker hut book entries in his time.
I remember a beauty in Middle Hill when he described his walk in as 'dodging phoney roars and trigger happy privatees'.

Got his book. Always written as Jon Williams. Notable as a 22-250 man which was unusual in the 70's. Saw his entries in the NW Ruahines in early 70's but said not enough animals to make it a paying effort.
