    Mike Shepherd

    Was notified today of Mike's passing on Saturday. Old owner of hunting and fishing westgate. Kumeu fish and game president from the old days at the Houghton's gully shoots .

    Damn that is sad. I am pretty sure that I still have thre rifles that Mike sold me. Rest in peace mate. Come to think of it I don’t think I have been in that shop since Mike sold it.

    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

    Mike was a really good guy and the shop has never been as good as when he owned it. He had worked for Carters years ago and knew heaps about forestry. Pretty sure he had a couple of vintage MX bikes. Always happy to share his experience and knowledge, he'll certainly be missed.
    10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.

    bumped into him the other day in a Mitre 10 men's toilet of all places
    barely recognized him even though he called me by name poor bugger looked very sick (I knew he had the big C through the grapevine)
