    Shot Show 2025

We recently attended Shot Show 2025 in Las Vegas. It was a great opportunity to catch up with the brands we distribute and check out their latest products.

    ARKEN / DNT
DNT was definitely the highlight of the show. Their development schedule for this year is bringing products that are well thought out and fill niches that customers actually want.

They have a new mini thermal monocular under development. This monocular features 1000m Laser Range Finder, uses 18650 battery. What makes the DNT thermal monocular unique is that it also includes a complete ballistics solution. This is the product that removes the need to carry a separate LRF ballistics solution. Pictured below next to credit card for size. These will become the hottest NZ thermal product for 2025.

Until this year DNT / Arken only built FFP optics. This has now changed with the introduction of their new Second Focal Plane scopes. They have essentially recreated a VX5, added in hydrophobic coatings, and increased the magnification ratio to 6x. Their will be two variations. 2-12x and 3-18x. Both will have daylight visible fibre red dot option. Multiple reticle choices. The 3-18 will be both MOA and Mil. The price will be around 30% of an equivalent VX5. In the show environment they handled CA well and their was zero bleed on the fibre dot. These will be a big seller too.

DNT are also releasing a high resolution digital scope with all the bells and whistles. It wont have built in illumination as they are targeting countries that have restrictions on the use of night vision scopes. This could possibly be a solution for NZ public land.

I got a chance to get behind the yet to be released Thermnight 650R thermal scope. A stunning multi-spectral scope for those wanting the best.

    SYTONG
Sytong are launching a new brand called Falcon. Their optics will only be 640 or 1280 resolution. Unfortunately the Chinese government seized part of their show shipment so they had very little to display. What they did have at the show looked very nice though. And as always prices that cant be beat.

Awesome, when will you have pricing on the Falcon?
If my work annoys me, I cull them
