    Powder updates

From Steves Wholesale 1/4/2025 - not ideal and not april fools
Some of the Hodgdon powder that is made in the Australian ADI plant may not increase as much but the other Hodgdon powder that is made in the USA will definitely go up

    Gunpowder... Never-ending issues.
Once again, the USA gunpowder will go up 20% with our next shipment. Nitrocellulose prices are up 30% [surprise, surprise].
This will start affecting ammunition prices.
ADI powders are somewhat sheltered from this as ADI has its own NC plant. ADI is releasing AR2206H this year, but no TrailBoss or the Shotgun and Pistol Powders. It could be late 2025 or 2026 before we can ship in ADI.
Vihtavuori powders are now banned from being exported from the USA.
Magazine storage... this has become very difficult with constant new compliance rules rendering our 3 magazines down to 10% of their old capacity. We are now forced to rent another Magazine and build a new high-capacity magazine well out of the city. None of this comes cheap.
    cheers
    Steve

ADI will get harder to bring over from Australia due to its classification 1.3c and storage rules that the wholesaler has to currently deal with that could mean ADI becomes temporarily problematic with bringing large quantities (allowing ADI to be cheaper), they can bring in less quantities without issue however doing so will temporarily bump up the price of ADI considerably as its the same freight cost from Australia to NZ regardless of the quantities so less powder in the container, more cost to the consumer.
