    I recently bought a 308 and put a Leupold 3.5x10 on it . I shot it out to 600 yds on a target and was surprised at how well the aim area stood out ( about 9 inch square) putting three shots in it....

    Exactly. The Maungahuia end of the sub range is lower for early spring and I used to hunt it quite a bit late winter. Go up Deadman's track and hunt through the Maungahuia saddle and follow the scrub...

    Both good access points, Renfrew being the most popular via Rangiwahia hut. Good campsite is on the saddle just south of Maungamahua & there is a freshwater spring there off the western side of it....

    A shout out to DPT for their new braked end caps that fit on end of the suppressor. Ran some fairly stout loads thru my 300WSM, 180gn & 200gn pills. Recoil was very manageable & pleasant to shoot....
