Excellent post mate. This is exactly how I've been feeling. After a few years of pinging deer and goats at 400-500m+ it all started getting a bit boring and I noticed I was leaving the properties...

My 10¢ I'm discovering that "hunting" in 'merica, means often, a different thing, than does the term "hunting" in NZ and OZ. It transpires that what we Kiwis think of as hunting, in NZ and OZ,...

There is a lot of factors to this, I guess. First of all: a totally different approach to hunting/game in general. Being classified as pests game is eradicated by rigorous means in NZ - in the US...

Skip dealing with a shop in NZ and talk directly to the NZ distributor - no shop mark up that way. I just had my VX3i upgraded to the new CDS-ZL turret system cost $330 including freight. NZ...

Saturday afternoon I'm driving down the road and see Micky Duck in his work truck approaching. I flag him down and ask "you keen for a hunt tomorrow" I knew the answer was going to be yes even though...

Some might not be interested in hunting them but like i said this is only the start. When they start on the sika, reds , fallow and wapiti and all the rest of our game animals you might have a change...

The NZ made 105 Targex (they use Berger jackets) might be worth a try. The 95grn are very good (and popular) in 1:10 .243. Ive used them a lot, and the 69grn in .223. Pretty damned good.

The problem is we cannot rely on the people to do what is right. We pay taxes so that the law is upheld and what needs to be done is done, these COL fools have failed to isolate an isolated country....
