Most people these days shoot prone/bipod with the non-trigger hand tucked in under the buttstock. And all power to them. I learnt to shoot prone a long time ago with no bipod, supporting the air...

The only quick and effective method is a rangefinder, too many other variables to use any other method.

Big plus on a well-trained horse! I have used them a bit in the past and you can definitely get closer to deer on horseback. Make sure that your horse will not be spooked by putting a carcass on...
