Agree that if the current setup is solid and you can live with it just go with that. No issues with top loading that way which would would not be so straightforward with a one piece rail in place. ...

Looked at Southfort and HiTech Carbon Fibre stocks a few years ago for a restock project. IMO the HiTech was much better so went with that and never regretted it. Rifle handles better, shoots better...
