Superformance works well for me in the PRC but being a double based powder I backed off a bit for that reason. Theres no such thing as a free lunch. As stated before every rifle is different.

Remember to tune GRT with your real world chrono numbers via the OBT tool. Can't help but think you must be wringing the piss out of your Creedmoor, if you're getting over 2900. I'm getting...

Dont really understand why you would rebarrel a 223 to 222 and run long bullets! In grt you would be lucky to get 2600-2700 and I dont think your brass woud last very long.

I would think it's just a bad batch. I do my brass on the amp every cycle and I've never once seen a crack on a single neck. Gotta be the quality of the brass surely

Although, you also have to remember that that square relationship between energy and velocity works back in your favour downrange when you bullet impacts... A bullet going 2x faster is going to...

You have to remember that energy is proportional to the square of velocity so it takes 4x as much energy to generate 2x the velocity. Powder is a form of stored energy (in the chemical bonds). Plus...

We like shorter barrels here which is a major part in why some of our velocities when comparing standard to magnum cartridges aren't giving a heap of speed difference. The PRC starts to really...

6.5PRC was (like 6.5 Creedmore) brought about to sell more new rifles / compnents. Gun writers jumped on it (earned their money) and promoted the hell out of it and made it the cool calibre to...

I agree with mikee - the primary purpose of the 6.5 PRC was to allow the Hornady marketing machine to prop up the bank balance. And build on their Creedmore 6.5 theme. The 6.5 PRC offers little or...

In terms of economics in these days of limited availability of slow powders e.g RL26, the 6.5CM & 260 are a better choice for higher volume shooting. As mentioned the velocity returns per grains of...

this is same thing Im saying about resistance and/or aiming point...... the softer projectile or the higher speed mean you need to adjust aim to a softer target/shallower vitals.....plenty of guys on...

From a reloaders perspective, I think the 6.5PRC has been let down / hamstrung by a lack of collective input and agreement from factory rifle manufacturers, brass manufactures and sizing die...
