6x47 liked post by Coote On thread : I've Experienced the Advantage of Hunting with Thermal and Night Vision
I've hunted for a long time. I took me a while to use a telescopic sight on a regular basis. I grew up with open sights, and I felt that scopes were complicated and more likely to fog up or fail. ...

6x47 liked post by dannyb On thread : Anyone keen to rent a labradar?
To be honest I don't think its a great idea, too risky, accidents happen, and way to many dodgy people out there. Just look at the accounts on here that have recently been hacked for starters. It's...

6x47 liked post by MB On thread : Butchering
Wet conditions promote bacterial growth. For this reason, I like to keep meat as dry as possible. You're playing gastroenteritis roulette. It's a question of probability. It might be fine (and plenty...

6x47 liked post by Ginga On thread : Scope recommendations
A nice rifle like a sako deserves a good scope. For rabbits etc at 400 yards or further magnification and clarity is everything. A fine reticle is also a must. If it was me I’d go 5-25 Swarovski Z5....

6x47 liked post by Ross Nolan On thread : My basic How to Gut, Pikau Carry and Skin a deer video tutorial
Using a cable tie is an alternative to tying the tubes, especially if one end or the other has a bit of damage. Cheap, easy and handy for all sorts of things.

The simple Diabolo shaped pellet is best, buy a few packs of different Diabolo shaped H&N and JSB pellets around the 10gr mark and see which one groups the best. Shot placement is key with airguns so...

I agree. Getting into nature is 95% of the fun. Filling the freezer is a bonus. But filling my passenger footwell with rubbish purposely left behind by others, sours my day a bit
