Would be perfect for spotlighting possums, one shot at the trunk fells the tree then you can run round knocking possum on the head with the muzzle break!

7mm tragic liked post by Oldbloke On thread : Hunting in astorm ,is it worth it
I used to hunt in just about any weather. Not any more. I'm a fine weather hunter now. I go to enjoy the hunt, not feel miserable. If I shoot something it's a bonus. Results have not changed much.

I've just turned 61 and to be honest I still haven't come to terms with turning 60 yet! I am fitter now than I've been for years due to going to the pool 5-6 mornings per week and doing 1km of aqua...

7mm tragic liked post by Shearer On thread : Overnighter
With good weather forecast a quick overnight mission to the tops was in order. Being Easter weekend I thought heading somewhere a bit harder to get to would be a good idea and was hoping the stags...

7mm tragic liked post by Wild Hunt On thread : Pushing back a little further
So this trip didn't happen too long after my last outing. I decided to camp the night on the tops in the Lewis Pass again. Instead of thinking 'easy access' I tried to get off the beaten path a bit...

have used .308 now for the best part of 50 years - stay with 150 grain only because as long shot says 180grain will boot a bit more - dont over complicate what bullets will do comparing commercial...
