   Flat shooting is really a myth. All modern calibers will be within a couple of inches of drop from each other at 300. Its after 4-500 that good bc comes into play thats were the 277 & 257 fall off....

   I use a Kestrel 4500, the wind meter is fine but its the temp/pressure/humidity i use the most With the wind meter you can see what speed its doing around you and how the vegetation is moving then...

   I have a 7mm08 and 7mm mag. With 162gr amaxes the 7mm08 can be loaded to around 2650fps. The 7mm mag seems to like 3050. A lot of pills seem to have minimum stated working speeds of around 1800 fps....
