Have seen this a lot now, mostly its the galvanic corrosion between the dissimilar metals in the brass and projectile " welding " the projectile in tighter than it should be Upon firing the brass...

We shot a stag last year and measured the back steaks carefully, 3 inches thick, 9 inches wide, 30 inches long One back steak did not fit in an oven roasting dish. They make great mince

Well done, if you could carry it then you shot a small one :) The larger ones go 480-500 pounds for a hind and 600 pounds for a stag
