We had a great week. Shot the same spot all week (except for a paddock hunt in the rain last Saturday), and had easy limits for two of us for the first 6 days. We pulled our decoys in close ( ranged...

I think the competition is getting stiffer and people are buying more Tikkas :D No one wants to purchase a rifle and then replace it's trigger straight away.

I used to be a big olt and Hammond fan. Still have those calls but prefer acryllic callers now. A good acrylic caller will carry further than a wooden call but will allow a soft call when needed....

Type of call doesn't really matter it's how you use it. That said don't use the el cheapos haha. Usually a load hail, 8 or so notes gets their attention then a welcome call, chuckling or lone hen...

I had a great morning shot but even driving around the farm there are not many ducks on the ponds. Couple weeks ago when it was raining things were looking promising. Mate next door only got 80 for...

Burris Zee rings every time for me - for Tikka's you need to get specific bases, either weaver style bases, or the Remington ones & then Burris Zee rings to suit. Big advantage of the Zee rings...
