    As long as you don't pluck too close to its butt I would say it's as clean as you will get it . Winter possums are in great condition and i would think they spend countless hours cleaning...

    Or just seal it in a plastic bag with some moth balls for a couple of weeks. Then stick it in the freezer for a couple of weeks also. That's how we get rid of silver fish from old document.
