Those sort of fines would be cheaper than paying the license fees if you didn't get caught too often. Like watching a scumbag walk out of Bunnings with a weedeater without paying while the rest of...

Yep, back about 1995 I built one on a medium action BSA Hunter, though it was an Ackley Improved version. Would send 100gr Hornady or Nosler BT out at just over 3300fps with 2213. I tried 115gr BTs...

That was cool. Another tear in my eye. You travelled the full length of the sub range. Great pics. I've got the old record book out of that rain gauge.

I wouldn't overthink it for closer ranges - 275m with my data is 1.3MIL for flat and 1.0 for -30 degrees. That is 34 vs 26cm. Most people are very poor at judging slope - if you are not...

I have an old A-1 in .223, and it is a 1-12 twist. The newer 85 Varmint stainless have various twist rates. The one I have has a 1-8 twist. Cheers

Don’t make it too complicated for yourself. Stuff like the 64 grn Winchester or 55 grn Norma work just fine. Hand loading heavier bullets and a faster twist barrel add a margin but not to the extent...

Only if you have a 22LR. You'd have to shoot a lot of ammo to make up the cost of another rifle and scope etc. It's just for fun remember!

Good point Andrew - variable! I've found mine is sweet as a nut for what I need with the Winchester Super X FMJ 40gr loads. But, I've had some hugely variable results with other ammunitions. Owned...
