    I have a rule when hunting solo. If it looks a bit dodgy, find a safer way. If this is not possible then turn around. It's not worth the risk.

    Consistantly for a long time or sporadic? I have a dog which has been howling sporadically for a number of years, but usually when there's a bitch on heat in the area.
