When the arrow is embedded in wood its smooth and sliipery , hard to twist and pull out. Wrap the inner tube around it to get a good grip. Often you can only get the shaft to turn and you can unscrew...

I agree, a new scope will give the reliability and quality in keeping with the spirit of the rifle. Perhaps a fixed 6x S&B Klassik ? Made not too far from Brno.

I agree - wouldn't shorten the barrel for farmland hunting. Wait and see if you get into the Kaimai supplejack or Ruahine leatherwood before you do that. People less than about 1.6m tall will do...

Is that the new model S20 takedown ? I've got a model 85 in 7mm08 and use 140 NBT with AR2208 and would recommend those bullets - they kill very well. 2208 is usually easy to obtain. There is...

Im talking here about getting 5-10cm groups at 100m, for a beginner shooter using whatever scope and a makeshift rest like a simple sandbag. This equates to shooting deer or goats up to about 150m...

I would go for a better brand scope. It does matter. Look at Redfield or even an entry level Leupold. Both 100% rugged and reliable right at the bottom of their price points. 2-7x32 is good and...
