Stags will travel 20+ks in a night no problem for a hot woman.Deer in general will travel up to 10+ks to a good feed paddock every night and return home to roost (sleep)thru the day.

I recall a very large kill of parries on a certain west coast farm a few years ago when a poison was set for a different critter. (Not 1080) it was hushed up.

Greetings, That is a possibility but my brief sighting of a tannish colour with a white bum reported in the OP, admittedly in gloomy conditions, may suggest otherwise. Our block has been stock free...

This. Sometimes I can watch five or six hares from my lawn with a thermal. Flick light on I'll get one or two. With a clip on NV I can usually shoot the lot. Night vision makes cats so much...

I hear you. I actually prefer beef or even lamb over venison. But I enjoy hunting and the amount of meat you get ( not free ofcourse once you add the cost of fuel, gear and all the rest ) still...

I told doc and they said to report it to mpi which I have just done. They all looked fairly fresh. I also tried to call fish and game but no answer, probably all busy bullying children.
