Personally Id prefer parallax, I have a 2.5-10 scope with parallax adjustment and use it all the time.

The 2.5-10x42 looks pretty neat, not perfect IMO but probably a solid 7.5/10. The reticle, no side focus and narrow FOV let it down IMO, but it looks like the best option in the low magnification...

A bipod is a good thing to have for shooting targets, zeroing etc, but often will be less usesful for rabbits due to long grass. I would recommend buying one but not a 6-9", they are 95% a waste...

If I were you I'd leave the 3-5 fired cases for now, they probably need annealing so may be giving you measurement issues. Shoot the 20 new pieces of brass and measure them all after on firing...
