   There is nothing very hard about Tikka/Sako barrels and they ream just fine with slow speed and plenty of cutting oil. no different to any other barrel. It always pays to use a roughing reamer first...

   Very likely as it seems most of the "holes" aren't plum dead center of barrel, but on this barrel you can see some of the flutes are deeper & wider, need to check more of them to tell for sure .

    The original Ruger m77 mk2 was proper stainless. Don't think I have ever seen and corrosion whatsoever on one of those. Don't make em like they used to that's for sure.
