I had another play around with the Sub-x today. After establishing supersonic was between 11.5 gns and 12gns I loaded up 10, 10.5 and 11gns and shot 3 shot groups at 25ish meters. 147995 I think I...

I have just had a play with the 190 sub-X. I loaded up 6 rounds from 7gns to 12gns of Trail Boss at 1gn intervals. They didn't go supersonic until 12gns which has surprised me (1gn more than the...

First blood to the Sub-X. Admittedly, not much of a challenge and sadly not a deer, but it fell down stone dead with a chest shot. https://i.ibb.co/8rcWYmw/Hunting-Wallaby1.jpg

I found the 22mag a bit of a mixed bag on goats. As Flyblown mentions, yearlings and the like are quite diminutive in size; a 22mag will cream them at 100yd no trouble. But solid billies are a...

Forgot to mention, the CCI 40 grain ammo has 1875 fps on the box, unfortunately I didn't fire it before I cut a heap off the barrel but it goes 1788 fps now

I'd go either 17wsm in semi, or better a Browning BLR in 223 in lever. Next step would be a bolt action with 10 round mags.

Skip dealing with a shop in NZ and talk directly to the NZ distributor - no shop mark up that way. I just had my VX3i upgraded to the new CDS-ZL turret system cost $330 including freight. NZ...

I just use Hoppes No9 solvent and occasionally JB Paste, My .357 mag S&W 586 has had over 70.000 cast bullets through it and has never had a bronze brush down the barrel, only ever cleaned it with...

Took the 18” Tikka T3 out today for a subsonics run. In all honesty I prefer shooting the Browning BLR, simply for the silly cowboy factor. But seriously, with a DPT suppressor this rig is deadly...

Do it all the time, flat sea takes us about 35 minutes. Rough sea up to an hour or more. We usually stop to fish on the way over though. I have crossed it in 4-5 metre confused seas in our 7.5...

If you mount too low then your will see the end of your barrel/suppresser in your site picture which I find really annoying. Something to consider.

After using a fire dot I would feel naked without it.
