Biography:
Hunting has been a lifetime passion of mine. I cut my teeth on small game and ducks in the Waikato, then got into big game in the Southern Alps whilst at university. Residing in Tauranga nowadays I have come to appreciate bush hunting in the Kaimais, but make regular missions to the central plateau and south island for more open country hunting.

    Too much focus is on bragging about your rifle shooting .273 moa 3 shot groups and not enough on "I can hit a practical sized target with it consistently". Obviously a degree of precision is required...

    Matt I was in position a year or so ago although with potentially a bit more shooting experience (in the field) than you. I lucked out as I didn't have to do the choosing, other people did it for me...
