Biography:
Hunting has been a lifetime passion of mine. I cut my teeth on small game and ducks in the Waikato, then got into big game in the Southern Alps whilst at university. Residing in Tauranga nowadays I have come to appreciate bush hunting in the Kaimais, but make regular missions to the central plateau and south island for more open country hunting.

    Koshogi, the reason St Johns (or any other first aid course) does not teach/recommend tourniquets is that there is a little more involved to it than just shutting off bloodflow to the affected...

    Tobes, the generic calibre size usually refers to the BORE size, not the diameter of the grooves. 7mm cal is 7mm because the bore size (measured with a bore pilot bushing) is usually 0.275" to 0.277"...

    The hammer is coming along nicely , the hole in the hammer for the tumbler shaft had to be square, so set up the hammer in fore jaw chuck centred on the hole then using the lathe saddle as a shaper...
