I guess what all of this shows is that hunters who can kill animals with a 270win are more skillful than those that kill animals with superior cartridges.:D

At the time high BC heavy for caliber projectiles were not a "thing". Twisting it for the available 130/150 grn and blunt 160grn was probably the exact right thing in that context.
