    Yep was called a Bezza, or something similar. I have a 3006 the same. Rebarreled now but still have the original barrel.

    Apparently so. In my googling I saw an old ad saying it reduces recoil by 40-60%. Possibly makes the shooter 60% deafer tho?

    The best way to check a barrel is "munted" is clean it and shoot it. Some barrels look ptistine but shoot like shit. Others look like shit but shoot very well.

    Definitely worth restoring if the barrel is OK. I have restored about a dozen old BSA rifles. I love them. I also have spare parts.
