I saw a factory engraved sako vixen for sale over here, the stock has a Roe Deer head carved into it. Looks very 1970s.

Local has a secondhand one on the rack I had a feel of it and was quite surprised by how heavy and awkward it felt. Might be an ok toy for steel but I wouldn't call them a hunting rifle

Yes. The wife's Tikka was an identical Super Varmint apart from the twist. One of the Howas is a HB job. And the CZ was a nice 527 Varmint before it got horribly mistreated by my hillbilly mates. ...

I dont know much about the 1:8 twist ones apart from reading mirrored comments like the ones before. I found a 1:12 tikka and brought it, have found it excellent. Was 20 inch and I got it shortened...

Shorter barrels don’t necessarily require faster powders. Keep using the same powder you would use for whatever pill you are using. Great example is Rel 26 in my short 260. Slow burning powder but...

That would pretty much sum me up too. Most bush shots are 20 or less. Open country maybe 50 to 200. Almost none over 200. After a life time of hunting, there have been very few I couldn't drop to...
