Try your local chemist. If no luck, consult with lab technician at local high school as Science teachers use lanolin in their labs. I sparingly use liquid lanolin on a small cloth for my lubing....

Good point, the foam is a chlorinated product so once it's burned it will keep releasing chlorine and in the wrong conditions hydrogen cyanide... Fairly nasty.

You might be able to repair this relatively easily by cutting back where the trigger/sear stops, thus letting it engage more........worth asking a Gunsmith down your way.
