I run the old 162 Amax at 2700 from my 17" 284. And same bullet at 3k from my 7Saum. The closest deer I've shot with the Amax in the SAUM was 230 yards which equates to an impact velocity of 2670...

Use 2209 for bush loads with 145gn or 154 gn pills. Around 53 - 54 gns 2209 gave best/safe results in my 284s. You'd need to back off load a bit for 160 - 162 gn pills I'm guessing

They look like a good pack there Frodo it’s a tough compromise though as I like to go light and fast for my day trips once base is sorted so I usually op to carry two.
