I’ve witnessed some crazy towing rigs. For example two people I know tow their 4 tonne+ boats with (a) a Ranger and (b) a 2.8 Hilux. Madness! I’ve had a brake controller fitted to my d max though...

if you go 243 you might as well get a 308 ( a 243 is a necked down 308) by going 308, ammo is available everywhere and you can get different loads straight off the shelf.

The Bergara Stoke model is expressly designed for folks with a small frame and smaller hands. Comes in a range of calibres and is very reasonably priced. A good bit more refined than a Howa IMO.

The further you get away from the road the less people you come across. We walked in from Clement’s for about 6-7 hours last year and didn’t see another person for 5 days until our walk out.

I'd agree with that - the CVT transmissions do take a little getting used to and you feel like you are hard on the brakes the entire time downhill. Proper hybrid is good as well, although I do not...

I bought new Dmax yesterday. 6 year/150,000 km warranty. Awaiting canopy. Twisted dealers arm to get good ruc added, monsoons etc. seems Isuzu are giving decent discounts from rrp.

I found the seats nasty, the suspension and brake up grade was good, the same interior they been using for 9 year is very dated, wasn't worth the 86k imo, and I was hilux for life.
